important information regarding trail
This bayou is a main tributary to the Ouachita River and serves as an out-and-back trail leading to it. Always check the current and flow conditions before paddling, as the Ouachita River flows south and can be challenging to paddle upstream depending on water levels and currents throughout the year. Be mindful of other boat traffic. Inexperienced paddlers should avoid paddling this trail if winds are 10 mph or higher. Cell service may be limited, so be sure to share your route and estimated return time with someone before heading out. Respect fellow sportsmen enjoying the water.
