DSRA THUNDER ON THE OUACHITA JUNE 26-27
West Monroe, LA– Discover Monroe-West Monroe will host the Deep South Racing Association’s Thunder on the Ouachita at the Forsythe Boat Ramp on June 26-27. The Deep South Racing Association is “an organization of avid outboard powered boat racers.” The races will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday and 12:00 PM on Sunday. Gates will open at 8:00
AM both days.
“I am super excited about getting the chance to bring DSRA to Monroe, Louisiana. Forsythe
Park is the perfect place to host the event” Mitch Ludwig, event organizer said. “It has been
an easy process getting everything together because of all the help from Monroe City
Officials, the Monroe Police Department, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries,
the Ouachita Sheriffs Department, and Discover Monroe-West Monroe.”
Admission is $8 a day for ages 12 and up. All proceeds will benefit the Monroe Police
Reserves. Spectators may bring ice chests. No outside alcohol allowed.
All races will take place at the Forsythe Boat Ramp at 2300 Sycamore, Monroe, Louisiana
71201. Parking will be available at the boat ramp. For more information contact Scott
