Run for the Wall May 21st
Monroe, LA– Run for the Wall (RFTW) will be making its way to Monroe on May 21st! RFTW, a veteran’s support organization, works to promote healing among all veterans and their families.
Entering its 33rd year, motorcycle riders can choose to ride in one of four routes. The Southern route will take riders from California to Washington, D.C., making a stop in Monroe. Along the way, RFTW participants visit veteran organizations, hospitals, schools, and civic organizations to help share their mission.
The group will make its stop in Monroe on May 21st at 4:36 pm at the Barack Shrine Temple. On May 22nd, a wreath laying ceremony will be held at Monroe City Hall at 8 am and the public is invited to attend.
Approximately 300 riders are estimated to make a stop in Monroe. Riders will then continue the route from Monroe to Washington, D.C. and you may view their route via this link https://rftw.us/southern-route-hub/.
