NCHA Eastern Nationals at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center March 4-12
West Monroe, LA – The National Cutting Horse Association’s Eastern Nationals will be held March 4-12 at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Riders from across the country will compete in the championship cuttings.
Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition. A horse and a rider work together to demonstrate the horse’s ability to handle cattle.
There are twelve levels of competition ranging from open and non-professional to novice and amateur.
The National Cutting Horse Association mission is to “promote and celebrate the cutting horse, whose origin on Western ranches allows us to support ranching and its western heritage.”
“We would like to thank the National Cutting Horse Association for selecting West Monroe’s Ike Hamilton Expo Center as its new location for the Eastern National Championship.” said Scott Bruscato, Discover Monroe-West Monroe Senior Vice President of Sales. “The championship will bring competitors from across the country for their 12-day championship to West Monroe, and we are excited to show them our brand of southern hospitality.”
All events will take place at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center at 501 Mane Street, West Monroe, LA 71291. Click here for competition details. For more information contact Scott Bruscato at 318.387.5691 or sbruscato@monroe-westmonroe.org.
