NCHA Eastern National Championship March 3rd – 11th
West Monroe, LA – The National Cutting Hose Association (NCHA) will host the NCHA Eastern National Championship March 3rd through 11th at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center.
This event is expected to bring an estimated economic impact of over $1,497,000 to Ouachita Parish.
Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition. A horse and a rider work together to demonstrate the horse’s ability to handle cattle.
Classes for the Championship include: Open, Non-professional, Novice Horse, Unlimited Amateur, Amateur, Limit Rider, Junior Youth, and Senior Youth.
The National Cutting Horse Association mission is to “promote and celebrate the cutting horse, whose origin on Western ranches allows us to support ranching and its western heritage.”
“We are excited to welcome the National Cutting Horse Association to West Monroe.” said Scott Bruscato, Discover Monroe-West Monroe Executive Vice President of Sales. “The championship will bring competitors from across the country, and we can’t wait to show them our southern hospitality.”
