Ike Derby and Classic at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center
West Monroe, LA – The 2021 Ike Derby and Classic will be held at the Ike Hamilton Expo
Center January 28-February 7. The event is expected to bring an economic impact of over
$493,000. The Ike Derby and Classic is part of the National Cutting Horse Association. THE NCHA’s mission is to “promote and celebrate the cutting horse who origins on Western ranches allow for support of ranching and its western heritage.”
Cutting is a western-style equestrian competition. A horse and rider work together to
demonstrate the horse’s ability to handle cattle. $500,000 in prizes will be given out over the course of the week.
“We are excited to welcome the National Cutting Horse Association to Monroe-West Monroe.
It should be an exciting week with $500,000 in prizes being given out.” said Scott Bruscato,
Discover Monroe-West Monroe Senior Vice President of Sales.
