Fluffy Butt Rabbit Club to Host 4th Annual Cherry Pie Extravaganza

WEST MONROE, La. ― The Fluffy Butt Rabbit Club is hosting its 4th annual Cherry Pie Extravaganza during Valentine’s Day weekend.

This national rabbit show is happening Feb. 14 – Feb. 15, 2025, at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. The two-day event will showcase two-pound and 25-pound rabbits. Some rabbits at the show will have fur that feels like velvet and ears that are as long as 14 inches.

The club’s activity provides youth opportunities to gain organizational and leadership skills through participation in this rabbit/cavy hobby. During this event, the club is including a dedicated nationwide 4-H/FFA Jackpot Show, which is open to 4-H/FFA students around the country aging from nine to 18.

FBRC is dedicated to the promotion of raising and showing rabbits and cavies as a family-oriented hobby. Its members serve rabbit/cavy clubs and 4-H/FFA chapters throughout Louisiana and abroad to promote the hobby. They provide a center of information and data to prospective rabbit/cavy breeders to encourage them to work toward the production of better animals.

The show begins at 5 p.m. on Friday and will run until around 11 p.m. On Saturday, the show will last from 8 a.m. until around 4 p.m.

This national rabbit show is expected to bring in an estimated economic impact of $180,454.49.
