Monroe-West Monroe, LA– The holiday season has officially arrived in Monroe-West Monroe! Discover Monroe-West Monroe has released its 2024 Christmas Guide, your go-to resource for all things merry and bright. This comprehensive guide includes details about local Christmas parades, festive events, holiday light displays, gift guides featuring local products, and much more!
Highlights of this year's holiday events include the enchanting Freedom Trees at the Chennault Aviation & Military Museum, Santa’s Christmas Village
at the Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum, outdoor holiday movies, Christmas at the Biedenharn Museum & Gardens, and the magical Candy Cane Lane, a drive-through light park in Calhoun.
Mark your calendars for Festival Weekend from December 6th – 8th! This beloved holiday tradition is packed with fun, including two parades—the Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita Christmas Parade and the Bawcomville Redneck Parade, famous for its throws like toilet paper, packs of noodles, hot dogs, and even turnips. Festival Weekend also features a Downtown Gallery Crawl, live entertainment, and a fireworks show to cap off the festivities.
