Discover Monroe-Monroe Announces Tourism Industry Award Winners

Monroe-West Monroe, LA – Discover Monroe-West Monroe hosted their annual Tourism Industry Awards Luncheon on Thursday, May 23rd
at ULM’s Bayou Pointe.

Awards were presented to individuals and organizations in the community that helped generate tourism to Ouachita Parish.

Award winners are as follows:

Attraction Partner Award: Landry Vineyards

Restaurant Partner Award: Kravins Restaurant

Holiday Spirit Award: Biedenharn Museum & Gardens

Tourism Ambassador of the Year Award: Karla Bendily

Association Meeting Event of the year: Louisiana Association of Student Councils – Krista Jones and Shannon Nix

Louisiana State Games Athlete of the Year: Alayjha Matthews, East Ouachita Middle School Softball

Sports Volunteers of the Year: Twin City BMX – Natalie Harper

Sports Event Organizer of the Year: 2D Sports – Brandon Magierowski

Team MWM MVP Hospitality Award: Hampton Inn & Suites
