CRAPPIE MASTERS NATIONAL TOURNMANET BRINGS $200,000 TO MONROE-WEST MONROE
Monroe-West Monroe, LA – Discover Monroe-West Monroe hosted the Crappie Masters
National Tournament September 23-26 at the Forsythe Boat Dock. This event brought an
economic impact of $200,000 to Ouachita Parish.
“The Ouachita River is an excellent resource for Monroe-West Monroe and provides our region
with the opportunity to deliver a positive economic impact through sports tourism. We thank
Crappie Masters for bringing their National Championship to Ouachita Parish and look forward
to great partnership for many years” Scott Bruscato, Monroe-West Monroe Convention and
Visitors Bureau Senior Vice President of Sales said.
192 anglers competed for the championship title. Eric Cagle from Alabama took home the
championship title. While in town, anglers ate at local restaurants including Trapp’s, Waterfront Grill, and Warehouse No. 1 Restaurant.
Monroe-West Monroe will host the Crappie Masters Individual National Championship in May
2021.
