Christendom Lectures featuring Wiley, Jeffery, Lusk at Church of the Redeemer
The Christendom Lecture, featuring talks on how the church should respond to modern day persecution and suffering, begins Jan. 6-8 in West Monroe, Louisiana at the Church of the Redeemer. The deadline for early registration is December 31. Attendance to the lectures is $100, if registered early.
Speakers at the Christendom Lectures include C.R. Wiley, a PCA pastor in Connecticut and author of Man of the House and The Household and the War for the Cosmos; Rich Lusk, a pastor in Birmingham,Alabama, and author of Paedofaith, I Belong to God and Under His Wings; and Steve Jeffery, a pastor in
the United Kingdom and author of The Cross.
The deadline for early registration is December 31. The Bach concert on Monday evening is free and open to the public. Attendance to the lectures is $100, if registered early. Previously known as the “Pastors Conference,” the Christendom Lectures will engage in theological and practical topics that will equip both pastors and laity to think clearly about current theological and social issues that face the Church.
“The Christendom Lectures will offer instruction on how God’s people should respond to suffering and persecution in the twenty-first century,” said Steve Wilkins, pastor at Church of the Redeemer in West Monroe, Louisiana. “The Christendom Lectures are not intended for church leaders alone but for stirring up all members of the Church to love and good works.”
The three-day event also will feature worship services and opportunities for fellowship and perusing
offerings from book vendors, including new publications from Athanasius Press: Theopolitan Liturgy by
Peter J. Leithart and From Bread to Wine: Creation, Worship, and Christian Maturity by James B. Jordan.
