Biedenharn Museum & Gardens Awarded Attraction of the Year at the Annual Louey Awards
New Orleans, LA– During the Louisiana Travel Association (LTA) Annual Meeting on January 16th, the Biedenharn Museum & Gardens was honored with the Attraction of the Year Louey Award.
“I am so proud for the Biedenharn to receive this honor. It is especially important to bring this award back to Monroe. I believe it shows the importance of our culture and art right here in Northeast Louisiana. The board and staff of the museum are excited, and we will be sharing the news for a long time,” said Ralph Calhoun, Biedenharn Museum & Gardens Director.
The Biedenharn Museum & Gardens takes you back in time! Tour the home of Joseph Biedenharn, first bottler of Coca-Cola, walk through the stunning El-Song gardens designed by Joe’s daughter, Emy Lou, and feel a bit of nostalgia as you discover Coca-Cola memorabilia at the Coke Museum. You can even enjoy a glass bottle of Coca-Cola for a nickel!
The Louey awards are hosted by LTA each year to showcase individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the Louisiana Tourism Industry. The Attraction of the Year award is presented to an attraction, museum, historic site or tour organization that delivers memorable experiences, meets visitor expectations, appeals to a wide range of travelers, understands the value of partnerships and consistently draws visitors to Louisiana.
