Alana Cooper Awarded Destinations International Destination Organization Leadership Award

Monroe-West Monroe, LA– Alana Cooper, Discover Monroe-West Monroe President/CEO, is a 2023 recipient of the Destination Organization Leadership Award by Destinations International.

The Destination Organization Leadership Award was created in 2017 and is amongst the association's most prestigious honors, recognizing those outstanding individuals who, through their exceptional work and achievements, have made a significant impact on the destination organization industry as well as a profound difference in the communities they serve.

“It is an extreme honor to be recognized by Destinations International. I share this award with the team at Discover Monroe-West Monroe. It is always teamwork that makes our marketing organization one of the best. I have numerous ideas about ways to keep improving our work and the team keeps going above and beyond expectations. I am humbled and excited to be among the 2023 honorees and look forward to the Annual Meeting in July,” said Alana Cooper, Discover Monroe-West Monroe President/CEO.

Cooper has served as the President/CEO for Discover Monroe-West Monroe since 2005 and currently serves as the chairman for the Louisiana Travel Association and is a board member for the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. She was recognized for her leadership and development in several tourism products, including West Monroe Sports and Events and Christmas on the River.
