2024 US Olympic Trials for Table Tennis and the US Junior National Table Tennis Team Trials March 21-30

West Monroe, LA – Discover Monroe, City of West Monroe, and West Monroe Sports and Events will host the 2024 US Olympic Trials for Table Tennis and the US Junior National Table Tennis Team Trials March 21-30, 2024, at West Monroe Sports and Events.

The estimated economic impact for these events is over $616,400 for Ouachita Parish. The Olympic Trials will be held March 21st – 24th and the Junior National Team Trials will be held March 26th – 30th. An awards ceremony and press conference will be held for the Olympic Trials on Sunday, March 24th
following the last match.

The 2024 US Olympic Trials will consist of over 30 domestic and international players aiming to secure a spot on the US Olympic Team for Paris 2024. Elite table tennis athletes from across the nation will battle for the chance to represent the United States on the international stage. The US Junior National Team trials will bring over 160 top youth players from across the country to battle for National team status.

Lily Zhang will be competing in the women’s tournament. Lily is the most dominant US table tennis women’s player for the last two decades. She is a 6-time US National Women’s Champion (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022), 3-time Olympian (2012, 2016, 2020) and Bronze Medalist at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games (the first ever medal in an Olympic game by a US Athlete). Lily also won a historic World Championship medal in 2021 in Mixed Doubles. She made the US Women’s National team at the age of 12. Now 27, she is the most recognizable face of US Table Tennis and competes professionally worldwide. She is available for interviews on March 23rd and 24th.
