Anthony Felan is the chef and proud owner of Fat Calf Brasserie in the Highland neighborhood of Shreveport. Anthony's culinary journey began at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in San Francisco, where he honed his skills and passion for French-inspired cuisine using fresh seasonal ingredients. After graduation, he worked at some of the Bay Area's most acclaimed restaurants. In 2010, Anthony returned to his hometown of Shreveport to be closer to his loved ones. He joined the team at Wine Country Bistro and quickly rose through the ranks to become the executive chef. In 2017, Anthony and his wife Amanda started the 2nd Act Supper Club, where they host underground dinners at various locations in Shreveport. Anthony established the Fat Calf Boucherie, a popular food trailer located at Red River Brewing Company. The success of this venture led to the opening of Fat Calf Brasserie in November 2019. Louisiana Cooking magazine recognized Anthony as one of their 2020 Chefs to Watch and in February 2024 was recognized by USA Today as one of the top 47 restaurants in the U.S. In November of 2023, Chef Anthony opened an event venue in the Historic Highland neighborhood where he hosts private parties, wine dinners, Chef’s Table dinners and other various events.
