“Spooky scary skeletons send shivers down your spine” - isn’t that how the song goes? Giant 12 feet tall skeletons line the street of Skeleton Lane aka Tower Drive in Monroe. Feel shivers down your spine all October long as you drive through Skeleton Lane!
Discover Monroe-West Monroe Pumpkin Decorating Contest
October 1-29
Nothing says “Happy Halloween” like decorating a pumpkin! This year paint, decorate, or carve your pumpkin with a Monroe-West Monroe theme! Bring your pumpkin to the Discover Monroe-West Monroe Visitors Center between October 1-29 for a chance to win prizes!

Scarecrows in the Garden

Looking for a spooky fun time for the whole family? Look no further than the Biedenharn's 6th Annual NELA Scarecrows in the Garden! This event will feature local non-profits creating imaginative Halloween displays, games in the garden, and more. Bonus: Enjoy live music by The Taylor Made Band on October 12 at the closing event.
Touch-A-Truck & Trick or Treat
October 19
Explore and climb on a variety of firetrucks, dump trucks, ambulances, tractors, police cars, and big rigs! Wear your Halloween costume and trick or treat at each vehicle. This event is for children of all ages.
Costume & Cocktails
October 19
All ghouls, ghosts, and goblins get ready for Costumes & Cocktails at the ULM Bayou Pointe Event Center! Dance the night away in your best costumes while enjoying great food, delicious cocktails, and entertainment by Kings of Neon. You'll even have a chance to win auction items! All proceeds go to the St. Jude Hospital.
Spooky Science Night

The party is explosive at Delta Community College’s Spooky Science Night on October 22. This fun event includes lots of candy, prizes, science experiments, and fun for all ages!
Boo at the Zoo
October 26
Take a walk on the wild side at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo for Boo at the Zoo. Delicious food, vendors, and trick-or-treating are on the agenda at this annual event. Wear your best or scariest costume for a chance to win the costume contest.
Fall Family Fun Fest
October 26
Fun for the whole family! Enjoy carnival games, vendor booths, food, and more at Kiroli Park. There will be a costume contest for all ages, groups, and event pets!
Tails at Twilight
October 26
This spook-tacular event is happening on October 26 at Bayou Pointe. Tails at Twilight is a Halloween costume gala with a full evening of dinner, drinks, music, and dancing! Admission includes food, and there will be a cash bar available to purchase from. This event benefits the River Cities Humane Society for Cats to support their cat shelter.
Boo with the Krewe
October 31
It's raining candy! Trick-or-treat through the Krewe of Janus parade floats at Boo with the Krewe on October 31. While it might not be the typical throws like beads, candy throws sure sound great to us!
