Black Bayou Lake National Wildlife Refuge is the perfect place to get away and get back to nature. The spacious pier allows for a quiet morning walk, or you can sit on a bench and enjoy the view. There's plenty of wildlife to see. Use the free viewfinders to get a closeup view of turtles, birds, and alligators!
I can see clearly now
The Biedenharn Museum and Gardens is the absolute best spot to enjoy a bright sunshiny day. When you take a walk around the gardens on the brick paths, you will be immersed in beautiful greenery and surrounded by flowers echoing the colors of spring and summer. Cool down beside the fountain with an old fashioned Coca-Cola for only a nickel! Before you leave, be sure to visit the Coke Museum and the Bible Museum.
bon appétit
What's better than delicious Cajun food? How about Cajun food with a spectacular view of the beautiful Ouachita River? Enjoy the scenery, the best Cajun cooking, lunch specials, and weekly live music at Trapp's. Ask for a table outside, order Mom Bourque's Seafood Nachos, a seafood platter, and thank us later. Trapp's also offers poboys, burgers, spuds, and grilled offerings. Don't forget about Mardi's famous bread pudding and whiskey sauce for dessert!

Head out to Landry Vineyards, and take a tour of their vineyard, cellar, winery, crush pad, and bottling facility. Tours are offered on Saturday only and are typically scheduled at 2:00 PM. After the tour, stop by the tasting room and sample six different wines while sitting on the covered patio overlooking the vineyard. Landry's offers cheese, crackers, and summer sausage to purchase during your tasting and visit, but you can also bring your own food to enjoy. On select Saturdays, Landry's hosts live music with their concert series on the grounds.
