This museum is a sparkling gem in our area, and it’s one of the great ways to learn about our area’s history. Learn about the inspiration for the Warhawk mascot—General Claire Lee Chennault. For military folks, there are tons of stories from war, ranging from ironic to reverent.
Spoiler alert: Delta Airlines started in Monroe at Selman Air Force Base which was right in Monroe. You and your friends will be proud of your town after leaving this museum.
