July Celebration Fireworks & Downtown Block Parties
July 5, All Day
Celebrate America's independence in Downtown Monroe and West Monroe all day long on July 5th! Starting at 11:00 am, Downtown West Monroe will have food trucks, a kids play area from 4:00 pm-8:30 pm, live music from Monty Russell from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm, and the closing fireworks show at 9:00 pm. Bring the whole family for a day full of fun in downtown! Join the City of Monroe for their 4th Annual Downtown Block party at 7:00 pm at the River Market. Celebrate the 4th of July with friends, live music, food vendors, and more! The events will close out with fireworks along the Ouachita River at 9:00 pm. The annual firework show will take place on Friday, July 5th at 9:00 pm. The fireworks are shot from the Endom Bridge over the Ouachita River and are best viewed from Downtown West Monroe, Downtown Monroe, or the West Monroe levee. End the night with a bang!
Movie Night in the Garden

Join The Biedenharn Museum & Gardens for their summer "Movie in the Garden" Series! Occurs in the ElSong Gardens every second Thursday from June-August. Bring your own chair or blanket & indulge in tasty food from local food trucks! The featured for July will be "Elf".
DCI Drum Corps

DCI Monroe is an exciting performance by several World-Class Drum Corps ensembles in Malone Stadium on the campus of ULM. These musical performing ensembles are touring and competing across the United States. Students ages 17-22 spend countless hours perfecting exciting artistic performances to "wow" audiences of all ages!
Dixie Softball World Series
July 26-31, All Day
The Dixie Softball World Series for Sweetees Traditional, X-Play Sweetees, Angels, and the Ponytails. Divisions are competing from July 27-31 at the Ouachita Sportsplex. Support the teams as they compete!
Ouachita Live Dylan LeBlanc

Join Downtown West Monroe for a fabulous evening to kick off the Ouachita Live outdoor concert series! This concert features Dylan Leblanc, singer-songwriter. Ouachita Live is a free downtown concert held the last Friday of the month from March through October in Alley Park. Remember to bring your own chair! A food truck, beer, and wine will be on-site. Come shop downtown before the show!

Beatrix Potter Tea at the Biedenharn
July 28 & 29, 4:30 PM
Enjoy a formal English tea service, followed by a reading of a beloved Beatrix Potter tale. Afterwards, take your own adventure in Elsong Gardens! This will be a fun event for ages 3 and up.
Masur Museum's Art Camps
July 8-12 & 29- August 1, 9:30 AM
Looking for something artsy for the kids? The Masur Museum in Monroe will have interactive art camps throughout the month of July for kids ages 9-17! They can learn the art of sewing or working with clay at the two July camps.
